Mari Vindedal has a master’s degree in law from the University of Oslo and an LLM (Master of Law) from the University of Edinburgh. She has also studied political science. Vindedal works with employment law, data protection law and general commercial law.
Vindedal is experienced in court proceedings after working as a deputy judge and police prosecutor. During her time as deputy judge, she was union representative and deputy leader of the Norwegian Association of Lawyers’ section for deputy judges. Vindedal also has experience from the Legislation Department in the Ministry of Justice, where she worked with legislation regarding litigation and data protection. In the areal of data protection, she i.a. participated in negotiations within the Council of Europe and EU, including GDPR.
Vindedal is a member of the Norwegian Bar Association.
